The village was flooded in a biblical-style deluge. Now the sun shone and the skies parted with colours like the raspberry ripple mousse we devoured as children. The glow revealed the Old Barn House and the stark tops of the Pendragon Chapel. But all is not what it seems. An observer with an inside knowledge of Lower Pendragon-Upon-Estuary-Under-Gasworks would know that there hadn't been a Lower Pendragon-not since the bombings of 1944 when the entire village was destroyed. In the intervening years, rising water levels had gradually submerged the ruins. But no, after the storm- here it was again.........
