The coloured houses are lovely and it's great how this continues with the tropes of Love Walked In. The contrast of the curved hill and the lighthouse is interesting. There is a great sense of the carnivalesque-it's as if each house has tipped its occupants out to the meeting place. The lighthouse makes me think of a stick of seaside rock which fits with happy feel you get from this painting.
