  1. 'You back then for a visit,' quoth Madge from the Ferret and Rover. She was taking her daily exercise (must keep in shape till I'm back pulling pints), past the Old Windmill which stood atop Old Windmill Hill (the Planning Department of the Puddlespury-On-Lawnmower Town Council had been having a somewhat sleepy afternoon when they named the street) and back home.
    There was no reply and Madge wondered what ailed him. She put down her waving arm and watched as he stood there, a mountain of a man. She gave up and wandered home. Two things were troubling her. One was Toby's hat which was like a replica of the top of the Old Windmill. The other thing was the moon-all pitted and cratered as if cloven hooves were cantering across its milky face...
