Once There Was Hope

Once There Was Hope

  1. This is powerfully bleak with the sombre hues. The disused rail track peaks in a sort of crossroads- a highly symbolic shape that evokes thoughts of the supernatural. The telegraph poles look like tombstones. The light in the middle makes you feel you could go on following this track for eternity and never find what you are looking for. The dead bleak tree in the middle adds a sinister tone. This viewer is really enjoying these themed paintings.
