This is wonderful. The sulphorous yellow lends a magical yet devilish tinge. The trapeze artist in the sky has disturbed the birds in flight. Are the unicyclists being conjured up by the sinister figure on the ground who has the look of a magician? Does he, in fact, hold the mystery, the riddle of life? The downward slope of the hill could suggest that these figures are on a descent to some sort of underworld-and this is supported by the fiery red tinge of the earth.
